QuoteIQ vs Housecall Pro (2026): Exterior Cleaning Costs, Measuring and Routes
Based on official pricing pages, product documentation and public owner feedback. We have not run a hands-on trial for this page yet. How we review
On this page
Winner for exterior cleaning
- Solo rig: QuoteIQ. Essentials is $29.99/mo versus $79 for Housecall Pro Basic ($59 on annual billing), so QuoteIQ wins on either billing schedule. Satellite measuring needs QuoteIQ Beginner at $99.99/mo, which costs more than Basic, but Housecall Pro does not list measuring on any plan.
- 3–5 person crew: Housecall Pro if you run daily routes. Essentials ($189/mo, $149 annual) covers up to 5 users with routes and employee GPS, while QuoteIQ lists routing only on Elite ($299.99). Without a routing need, the pick flips with headcount: QuoteIQ is cheaper at 3 users ($124.99/mo), Housecall Pro at 4 or 5.
- Pure software cost: QuoteIQ at 1, 3 and 6 users over 24 months, on monthly or yearly billing. The exception is exactly 4 or 5 users, where Housecall Pro Essentials undercuts QuoteIQ Pro.
Exterior cleaning workflow, feature by feature
Both apps cover estimates, scheduling, invoicing, online payments and customer financing. For a pressure washing, soft washing or window cleaning business, the differences come down to how you build a quote, which plan adds routes and automation, and how the price moves as you add people.
QuoteIQ is built around exterior quoting, with satellite measuring from its second plan. Housecall Pro is a broader platform that puts more money tools on its entry plan and more route tools on its mid tier.

“Not listed” means the vendor pricing information does not mention it, not that the product cannot do it. Ask about anything you depend on during the trial.
Satellite measuring
This is QuoteIQ’s main advantage. MapMeasure Pro comes with Beginner ($99.99/mo, 2 users). If you price house washes, roofs, driveways or windows from square footage, measuring from imagery can replace a drive-out for many quotes.
Housecall Pro’s pricing page does not list a measuring tool. Its quoting is built around a price book on every plan and flat-rate pricing on Essentials. That works when your jobs have standard prices. It helps less when every property is a different size.
To sanity-check your rates while you trial either app, try our pressure washing price calculator.
Proposals and IQ credits
Watch QuoteIQ’s monthly IQ credits. Essentials includes 500, and proposals cost 100 credits each below Elite. If you spent credits on nothing else, that is 5 proposals a month on the solo plan, 15 on Beginner (1,500 credits) and 30 on Pro (3,000 credits). Check what else draws on credits during your trial.
Housecall Pro’s sales proposal tool is on Max only. Neither vendor lists tiered package options (for example, house wash only versus house wash plus gutters and windows), so build a three-option proposal in each trial before you count on it for upsells.
Routes and GPS
Housecall Pro puts routes on a cheaper plan. Routes and employee GPS tracking come on Essentials (up to 5 users). Route optimization is on Max. Vehicle GPS and dashcams are an add-on with no published price.
QuoteIQ puts route optimization on Elite ($299.99) and Max. Employee GPS tracking is not listed on any QuoteIQ plan. Beginner adds Google Calendar sync, and Max adds crew management. If you run a crew of 2 to 5 on daily routes, this is the strongest case for Housecall Pro.
Financing and card fees
Close to a tie. Both list customer financing on every plan, including the entry plans. Neither names the lender or terms, so ask both how approvals and payouts work before you offer financing on a big roof or whole-house job.
Card fees differ in how clearly they are stated. Housecall Pro lists processing “as low as 2.59%,” with the exact rate depending on payment type. QuoteIQ processes payments through Stripe or Whop, and those fees are separate and not listed on its pricing page. Ask both for your actual rate.
Follow-up automation and recurring work
QuoteIQ’s email and text automation starts at Pro, $199.99/mo, which also adds in-app calling and texting. Mass text and email campaigns are on Elite.
Housecall Pro lists checklist automations on Essentials, but its plan details do not specify automated text or email follow-ups. Test that in the trial if unanswered quotes are your bottleneck. Marketing campaigns, Voice and AI CSR are add-ons with unpublished prices.
Recurring service plans are on Housecall Pro Max. That matters if you sell recurring window cleaning or maintenance washes. QuoteIQ does not list recurring service plans, so ask how it handles repeat visits.
24-month cost
Assumptions:
- List prices checked October 27, 2026. Neither vendor lists a first-year promo rate, so year two costs the same as year one.
- Neither product prices by route. A user is a seat.
- QuoteIQ yearly billing charges 10 months for 12 months of service, paid upfront. Its pricing does not say whether the yearly discount covers added users, so the yearly figures below bill added users at $25/mo all 24 months.
- Housecall Pro annual figures use its published per-month annual rates.
- Each cell uses the cheapest plan that covers the headcount. Card fees and optional add-ons are excluded.
| Team size | QuoteIQ, monthly | QuoteIQ, yearly | Housecall Pro, monthly | Housecall Pro, annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 user | $719.76 (Essentials) | $599.80 | $1,896 (Basic) | $1,416 |
| 3 users | $2,999.76 (Beginner + 1 user) | $2,599.80 | $4,536 (Essentials) | $3,576 |
| 6 users | $5,999.76 (Pro + 2 users) | $5,199.80 | $7,896 (Max) | $7,176 |
The gap comes from plan structure: QuoteIQ sells small seat bundles plus $25 added users, while Housecall Pro jumps from a 1-user plan straight to a 5-user plan, then forces Max at the sixth user.
What the table does not show:
- No paid add-on closes the feature gaps. Housecall Pro sells no measuring tool, and QuoteIQ’s routing comes with a plan upgrade, not an add-on.
- Solo with measuring: QuoteIQ Beginner runs $2,399.76 over 24 months monthly, or $1,999.80 yearly. That is more than Housecall Pro Basic, which has no measuring listed.
- 3 users who need routing: QuoteIQ Elite runs $7,199.76 over 24 months monthly, $2,663.76 more than Housecall Pro Essentials.
- 6 users who need route optimization: QuoteIQ Elite runs $7,199.76 monthly or $5,999.80 yearly, still below Housecall Pro Max ($7,896 or $7,176). The monthly gap shrinks to $696.24.
- If QuoteIQ does discount added users on yearly billing, 3 users drop to $2,499.80 and 6 users to $4,999.80. Ask before you count on it.

At 1 user, QuoteIQ is far cheaper. Paid yearly, Essentials is $299.90 upfront for 12 months. Housecall Pro Basic on annual billing works out to $708 a year. Basic does include job costing, online booking and a price book, which Essentials does not list.
At 2 users, the gap is widest in practice. Basic is a 1-user plan, so a second person means Essentials, $89.01/mo more than QuoteIQ Beginner month-to-month. You get routes, GPS tracking and QuickBooks Online sync for it. Beginner gives you satellite measuring instead.
At 4 and 5 users, Housecall Pro is cheaper. Essentials covers up to 5 users for $189/mo. QuoteIQ Pro covers 4 for $199.99, and a fifth person brings it to $224.99/mo.
At 6 users, Housecall Pro jumps. Essentials caps at 5, so the sixth person means Max, a $140/mo increase month-to-month ($150/mo on annual rates). Our Housecall Pro pricing guide covers that jump.
At 8 users, QuoteIQ is cheaper. Pro plus four added users comes to $299.99, exactly the price of Elite. Elite covers up to 10 users and adds route optimization, so skip the add-user math and go straight to Elite.
One warning about this search: several pages that rank for it are QuoteIQ’s own marketing, such as its comparison page. Their figures do not always line up with the current pricing pages. Budget from the two pricing pages.
Add-ons and fees
QuoteIQ publishes its extras:
- AI website builder: $34.99/mo (included on Max)
- Extra storage: from $9.99/mo
- Proposals: 100 IQ credits each below Elite
Housecall Pro lists AI CSR, Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, Voice, Marketing campaigns, Vehicle GPS and dashcams, and Websites as add-ons, but does not publish prices for them. If you need any of these, get a written quote.

QuoteIQ
- Price
- from $29.99/mo
- Free trial
- 14 days
- Prices checked
Good fit if
- Pressure washing, window cleaning and other exterior services that quote from measurements
- Solo operators who want quoting, invoicing and payments for about $30/mo month-to-month
Skip it if
- Buyers who want years of independent reviews (it's newer than Jobber or Housecall Pro)
- Small crews that need automation (texting/email automation starts at the $199.99 Pro plan)
What works
- Solo plan at $29.99/mo month-to-month
- Satellite measuring from the 2-user plan
- Customer financing on every plan

What doesn't
- Email and text automation starts at $199.99/mo
- Route optimization needs Elite
- Employee GPS tracking not listed
- Card processing fees are not listed
- Monthly IQ credit limits; proposals cost credits below Elite
- Newer, with less independent feedback
Best for route crews of up to 5
Housecall Pro
- Price
- from $59/mo
- Free trial
- 14 days, no credit card (Max plan features)
- Prices checked
Good fit if
- Crews of 2–5 who want routes, GPS and QuickBooks sync in one mid-tier plan
- Trades that sell bigger tickets and benefit from built-in consumer financing
- Owners who build quotes from a standard price book
Skip it if
- Budget-first solo operators (Basic costs about twice Jobber Core on annual billing)
- Anyone who wants every cost up front (most add-on prices aren't published)
What works
- Job costing, price book and online booking on Basic
- Routes, employee GPS and QuickBooks Online sync on the 5-user plan
- Consumer financing on every plan
- Recurring service plans on Max
- 14-day trial with Max features and no card
What doesn't
- No 2-user plan: a second person means Essentials at $189/mo
- No satellite measuring listed
- Sixth user forces Max at $329/mo
- Most add-on prices are not published
- Route optimization and recurring service plans need Max
Who should skip each one
Skip QuoteIQ if you need automated texts and follow-ups on a small budget, since that starts at $199.99/mo. Also skip it if you want employee GPS tracking, which is not listed on any plan, or years of independent reviews before you commit.
Skip Housecall Pro if you are solo or a 2-person crew watching every dollar. Basic is $59/mo annual for one user, and a second user means Essentials. Skip it too if you need every cost known up front, because most add-on prices are not published.
Track record
Housecall Pro has been around longer, and there is more independent owner discussion of it. That cuts both ways. In one r/WhichCRM thread, a pressure washing owner about six months into Housecall Pro asked for alternatives.
QuoteIQ is newer, and much of what you will find about it comes from QuoteIQ itself. That is not a reason to avoid it, but it is a reason to use the 14-day trial hard. Re-quote five properties you have already priced and check that the measurements and totals match what you charged.
Which should you pick
- Choose QuoteIQ if you do pressure washing, window or exterior cleaning, measuring slows down your quoting, and you are a crew of 1 to 3 or 6 to 10.
- Choose Housecall Pro if you run 3 to 5 people on daily routes, want GPS tracking and QuickBooks Online sync on a mid-tier plan, or price from a standard price book.
- Consider something else if you want cheaper automated follow-ups (QuoteIQ vs Jobber) or run recurring pest or lawn treatment routes (GorillaDesk). Our best pressure washing software and best window cleaning software roundups cover more options.
Both trials are 14 days. Run them over the same two weeks with real jobs, and price the same properties in each.
